IntroWelcome to the Lineage Sub section of the Fairbairn one Name Study (ONS).
The ONS and it's companion site, the DNA project, are in three separate sections/sites:
- Analysis of the Fairbairn surname, ie by place and date
- Lineage information, ie the family trees
- DNA information, ie the genetic genealogy supporting the family trees, or providing more questions to be answered.
Hopefully the menus provide seamless naviagation between them all.
The lineage information included here is my own research and/or interpretation of information supplied, so mistakes are mine and mine alone.
Happy to include links to pedigrees, and to list researchers.
We're all in this journey together, and so many people have already helped me over the years it seems only fair to return those favours.
So, if you want to help on this journey, do contact me via the link in the page footers.
The intention is that a separate site will eventually be available to registered users, where documents referred to here may be available, and their own lineages may be uploaded for further information and comparisons (you may not all agree with my analyses and conclusions).
