Bety Newton died on 16 Nov 1784 Bruntaburn Mill, Par. of Westruther, BEW, SCT; aged 55.1 She was buried in Nov 1784 Earlston, BEW, SCT, #575 "Here lyes Bety NEWTON spouse to Alexander FAIRBAIRN tenant in Bruntaburn Mill who died 16.11.1784 aged 55 years."1
